Spicy Roast Potatoes

Spiced potatoes that are baked until soft and tender. Coated in an array of spices each potato is packed full of flavour. These oven potatoes are the perfect side for Sunday roast dinner with a desi twist!

  • 1 kg Potatoes/Aloo
  • 50 ml Vegetable Oil
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 2 tsp Onion Granules
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 2 tsp Paprika


  • In a large bowl combine all the ingredients (except the potatoes) together until everything is well mixed together
  • Peel and chop the potatoes into large chunks then add into the mixture before coating the potatoes evenly
  • Line a roasting pan with foil then add the potatoes in a single layer across the pan
  • Bake at the centre of a preheated oven at 180°C/320°F/gas mark 4 for 45 minutes
  • Flip the potatoes over then cook for a further 20-25 minutes at the top of the oven
  • Your spicy roast potatoes are ready!
