One Pot Chicken Pasta Recipe

An easy one pot pasta recipe made with fusilli pasta and chunks of juicy chicken. Perfect for the whole family, this chicken pasta recipe is so simple to make and easy to follow. You just can’t go wrong with chicken pasta. The ultimate weekday family dinner!

  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 200 g Fusilli Pasta dry
  • 500 ml Water
  • 1 Onion/Pyaz finely diced
  • 400 g Canned Tomatoes
  • 5 Garlic Cloves/Lehsan finely chopped
  • 250 g Boneless Chicken
  • 1 Bell Peppers/Shimla Mirch finely diced
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Purée
  • 1 tsp Salt/Namak
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper/Kali Mirch Powder
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Dried Basil
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 100 g Mozzarella Cheese grated


  • In a large pot heat up the vegetable oil on medium heat until hot
  • Add the finely diced onions, finely chopped and salt then cook for 3-4minutes until the onions are slightly softened – adding the salt with the onions helps to bring the moisture out of the onion to allow them to cook down and brown more evenly without burning the onions
  • Add the canned tomatoes and tomato purée then cook for 4-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes soften
  • Add the dry pasta and water then stir and allow the water to come to alow simmer before covering and cooking on medium heat for 10-15 minutes
  • Add the black pepper, dried oregano, dried basil and paprika then cook the spices for 2-3 minutes
  • Cut the chicken into bite size pieces then add into the pan and cook for another 4-5 minutes
  • As the chicken cooks dice the bell peppers then add into pan and cook on medium heat for 3-4 minutes
  • Add the frozen sweetcorn then cover and cook for 6-8 minutes on medium heat
  • Add the cheese and mix in until it is melted
  • Your one pot chicken pasta is ready!
