Ingredients

  • 50 ml Olive Oil
  • 2 Onions
  • 5 Garlic Cloves
  • 20 g Spinach Palak
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder Haldi
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Chilli Powder
  • 1 kg Chicken Liver Kaleji
  • 150 ml Water
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 1 tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves
  • Coriander

Instructions

  • Add the oil into the pan and heat up on medium heat until hot then add the finely diced onions and cook on medium heat for 4-5 minutes
  • Add the finely chopped garlic cloves and spinach then sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant
  • Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for 3-4 minutes until the tomatoes have softened
  • Add the salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala and Kashmiri chilli powder then cook the spices for 3-4 minutes – add 2-3 tablespoons of water to allow the spices colour to be released and prevent burning
  • Add the chicken liver and cook for 2-3 minutes on high heat
  • Add the remaining water and cook on medium heat for 6-8 minutes
  • Add the finely sliced green chilli, dried fenugreek leaves and chopped coriander then cook for another 1-2 minutes
  • Your chicken kaleji masala is ready!
