Ingredients

  • 100 g Mayonnaise
  • 300 g Canned Tuna
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Butter/Margarine
  • Bread Slices

Instructions

  • In a bowl add the canned tuna, finely diced red onion, lemon juice, salt, black pepper and mayonnaise then mix until all the ingredients are evenly combined
  • On a griddle pan melt the butter on low heat and using a brush to spread over the pan
  • Once the pan is hot, add the bread slices then top with cheese followed by the tuna mixture then some more cheese before placing the slices of bread on top
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom side is golden brown and toasted then flip and cook for a further 2-3 minutes to allow the other side to become toasted
  • Your tuna melt is ready!
