Ingredients

Marinade

  • 500 g Lamb Chops or mutton
  • 2 tbsp Yoghurt
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Tandoori Masala
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds crushed
  • 1 tsp Coriander Seeds crushed

Masala

  • 1 Onion finely diced
  • 2 Garlic Cloves finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato finely diced

Instructions

  • In a bowl add the lamb chops with the rest of the marinade ingredients and mix until the lamb chops are covered evenly before setting aside to marinate for at least 4 hours
  • Once the lambs have been marinated add the marinated lamb chops to a pan along with the chopped tomatoes and garlic cloves then cook on medium heat for 4-6 minutes until the masala begins to gently bubble
  • Cover with a lid then reduce the heat to low and cook for 30-45 minutes – this can take up to 1 hour and mutton chops can take even longer
  • Once the meat is cooked through remove the lid and cook for 10-12 minutes on medium heat until the masala sauce thickens
  • In a griddle pan heat up the oil on medium heat until piping hot then add the lamb chops and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly charred and crispy
  • Your masala lamb chops areready!
