Ingredients

  • 50 ml Vegetable Oil
  • 3 Onions
  • 5 Garlic Cloves
  • 500 g Bitter Gourd Karela
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder Haldi
  • 2 Green Chillies

Instructions

  • Heat up your oil in the pan then add the finely diced onions and cook for 3-4 minutes on medium heat
  • Add the diced garlic cloves then cook for another 2-3 minutes
  • As the onions are garlic are cooking then slice the bitter gourd lengthwise, remove the inside using a spoon or your fingers then cut into thin slices and add into the pan to cook for 4-5 minutes
  • Add the tomatoes and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened
  • Add the salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and green chillies then cook the spices for 3-4 minutes
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 25 minutes until the bitter gourd is softened
  • Your karela sabzi is ready!
