This grilled lamb chops recipe is made of tender and spicy lamb chops in a creamy garlic butter sauce. The creamy garlic sauce is made richer with the addition of butter and is flavoured with fresh garlic.

Tender and spicy lamb chops in a creamy garlic butter sauce. These easy and quick lamb chops make an amazing family favourite dinner.

  • 1 kg Lamb Chops
  • 50 ml Vegetable Oil
  • 100 g Yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 2 Garlic Cloves crushed
  • 1- inch Ginger crushed

Creamy Sauce:

  • 50 g Butter
  • 1 Onion minced
  • 10 Garlic Cloves minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Dried Basil
  • 300 ml Double Cream


  • In a large bowl mix all the marinade ingredients together until well combined then add the lamb chops and coat each piece evenly
  • Set aside the lamb chops to marinate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight
  • Once ready to cook, heat up a grill pan on medium-high heat until hot then add the lamb chops and grill for 3-4 minutes before flipping and grill for another 3-4 minutes
  • Once you have grilled all the lamb chops add the butter into the grill pan and melt on low heat until completely melted
  • Add the minced onion then cook for 3-4 minutes on medium heat
  • Add the minced garlic cloves and cook for a further 2-3 minutes
  • Add the salt, black pepper, and dried herbs then cook for 2-3 minutes
  • Add the double cream and cook for 3-4 minutes
  • Add the lamb chops then cook for 2-3 minutes
  • Your creamy lamb chops recipe is ready!
