Ingredients

  • 10 Chicken Drumsticks
  • 100 g Breadcrumbs
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  • In a shallow bowl, combine the breadcrumbs with the spices then mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed
  • Dip each drumstick into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off
  • Roll the egg-coated drumstick in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere to the chicken
  • In a large skillet or frying pan, heat enough vegetable oil to fully cover the drumsticks then heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches a temperature of around 180°C (350°F)
  • Carefully place the breaded drumsticks into the hot oil, taking care not to overcrowd the pan – fry them in batches if necessary
  • Cook the drumsticks for about 10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, ensuring that you flip them occasionally to ensure even cooking on all sides
  • Once cooked, use tongs to transfer the fried drumsticks to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil
  • Your breaded chicken drumsticks are ready!
