Ingredients

  • 50 ml Vegetable Oil
  • 700 g Okra Bhindi
  • 2 Onions
  • 1 Tomato
  • 10 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder Haldi
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 100 ml Water

Instructions

  • Heat up the oil on medium heat in a pan then add the finely diced onions and cook for 3-4 minutes on medium heat until slightly translucent
  • Add the finely chopped garlic cloves then cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant
  • As the garlic is cooking finely dice the tomato then add into pan and cook for another 3-4 minutes
  • Add the salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder then cook the spices for 2-3 minutes
  • Add the finely sliced green chillies and the water then cook for a further 4-6 minutes
  • As the spices are cooking wash and chop the okra into 1-cm slices then add into the pan then mix the masala in before covering and cook on low heat for 25 minutes
  • Your bhindi masala is ready!
