Ingredients

  • 1 Cauliflower gobi
  • 500 g Potatoes aloo
  • 50 ml OIl
  • 2 Onions finely sliced
  • 1 Tomatoes diced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tsp Cumin Seeds crushed
  • 50 ml Water

Instructions

  • Separate the leaves and stalks from the cauliflower and finely chop the leaves and stalks then cut the cauliflower into small florets
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan and add the finely sliced onions and the cauliflower leaves and stalks then cook on medium heat for 6-8 minutes until softened
  • As its cooking finely chop the tomatoes then add into the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes
  • Add the salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder then cook the spices for 6-8 minutes – you may need to add a little water to prevent the spices from burning
  • As the spices are cooking peel the potatoes and chop into similar chunks to the cauliflower florets then add the potatoes and water into the pan and cook for 5 minutes
  • Add the cauliflower florets then cover with lid and reduce heat to low and cook for 20 minutes until the cauliflower has softened
  • Add the crushed cumin seeds and cook for 1-2 minutes
  • Your aloo gobi is ready!
